The purpose of Design Week is to highlight the important contribution that good design makes to the cultural, economic and social life of Ireland by fostering a reputation for creative excellence and innovation. The week involves seminars, workshops, lectures, trails and exhibitions across the island of Ireland.

Events are organised nationally and come together under the umbrella brand of Design Week, providing an unparallelled snapshot of the range of design expertise and design practitioners in Ireland.

ICAD has been one of the primary organisations involved in Design Week since 2006 and is represented on the committee by Elaine McDevitt, Operations Director.

Each year the wide selection of events are published in a printed booklet, on the website and via the facebook page, making it easier than ever to find out what's on.
