To raise buzz on social channels around the opening of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, we sent these special invitations to a limited number of guests who would be attending the Irish premiere. Each invite was unique, and consisted of a plastic box containing a piece of burnt debris from the Death Star; along with a plan of the Death Star showing where their piece of debris originated. (In reality our creative team spent a full day in the rain salvaging bits of crap from a scrapyard in Dublin port, before breaking them up and blowtorching them in a garden.) Photos of and reactions to the invites were shared by the recipients to hundreds of thousands of their followers in the days before the film’s general release.
