With their sponsorship of the Hennessy Portrait Prize we developed a promotion activation that challenges the concept of what portraiture is. This activation reimagines the way we think about the art of portraiture in the age of technology. We took the concept of “Crafting the Future” and applied this to crafting portraiture. Hennessy Auto Portraits creates one off portraits that use robots and software to generates a unique interpretation our subjects. At the activation our subjects had their photo taken, then this was processed through different programs before being drawn by one of of three Auto Portrait robots.
