The truth is often stranger than fiction so that’s why we put the truth at the heart of this Insurance Confidential commercial. This ad tells the true story of a cagefighter who continued to fight while he claimed compensation because he could barely walk. His downfall came when the DVD’s of his fights (that he was selling!) were produced in court as evidence. However, he is one of few who get caught and this perceived victimless crime does, in truth, have a victim – everyone. Our insurance premiums are higher because of insurance fraud. Fact. This commercial uses a naive style of animation to ‘charm to disarm’ the viewer by entertaining them with a seemingly whimsical caper involving two friends before pulling the rug from under the viewer’s feet.
