The Old Jameson Distillery closed for renovations for 6 months in October 2016. Inevitably, there were going to be some walk-up visitors who weren’t going to like the news that their timing was off. We created construction boards messaging with a simple social contest, asking for visitors to submit their most disappointed face for a chance to win tickets to the re-opening. The “Jameson Sour Face” contest led to several twitter/instagram submissions, and created a more light-hearted way to break the news to uninformed visitors.
