Christmas is a time for giving…. but it’s also a time for getting! And last Christmas Meteor was all about giving people
what they really wanted with their campaign idea “Merry Hintmas”. The camapign dramatised the art of “hinting” and
the extreme measure that people go to to make sure they get the present they wanted. Everything from painting
eyelids to talking dogs, humour prevailed throughout.
We launched with a 30” TV ad and followed with two 20” tactical TV ads, one of which featured Dasher, a talking dog
who facilitated hinting, he went on to become a star in his own right and helped the campaign achieve cut-through
and high engagement online.
The idea was expanded with a fully integrated campaign including digital, radio and OOH. Social channels activated
the thought even further of helping the people of Ireland to deliver their hints to friends, partners and family.
