RIOT is both party and politic, a love letter of hope to the future, a clarion call on the state of the nation and a divine celebration and a blunt criticism of the world today. A disorderly cocktail of wild theatre, gut-punching spoken word, banging jigs, slapstick comedy and eye-popping circus that leaves audiences dazzled and dizzy. For RIOT, and its global tour through 2017-18, we designed and art directed not only the graphic, photographic and marketing materials, but also the set, the venues, and worked closely with the directors, lighting and costume designers to deliver something that that spoke to, and about, our times.
