Seven Wood is a houseware & apothecary shop based in Dublin city centre. The name of the company originates from a W.B Yeats poem ‘In the Seven Woods’. It was from a verse in the poem that we created the set of illustrated icons which are used throughout the design.
We started working on the identity in 2015, creating the website and branding, however as the business has changed over the past year in a number of different ways, now focusing on furniture and interiors, we were commissioned to create a range of new design pieces to focus on this. Also in the past year the Seven Wood shop has changed it’s address to a new ‘Pop- Up’ store on Dawson St. Dublin 2 and with this we created the graphic tone for its new surroundings. It was very important for the design of the new premises to work coherently with the original identity that we had created while also make a statement with it’s new city centre location. We achieved this by using the large windows as a canvas to illustrate the patterns and colours that we have used throughout the branding while also using the windows to display the furniture and products.
The printed collateral we created was to send out to perspective architects and interior designers to promote the new furniture collections in store. We created a brochure, along with a set of business cards and a postcard which was sent to perspective clients.
