We were approached to work on the identity for her new houseware brand named ‘Seven Wood’. The client has roots in Co. Sligo in the west of Ireland and it is from a W.B Yeats poem ‘In the Seven Woods’ that the name originates. I created a set of icons that were inspired from the poem to use throughout the visual identity (a pigeon, a bumblebee, and the woods) on window graphics to bags. A huge part of this design was that the identity had to work both on-line and in-print as there were 2 shops essentially selling a beautiful section of carefully selected houseware and apothecary products.
We used rubber stamps for the business cards which were printed on recycled greyboard as well as folded leaflets that were used to promote the pop-up shops. It was a really nice project to work on as the client was very much open minded when it came to the design and really trusted us from the start which I feel can be seen in the final identity.
