As the first real foodie occasion under our new ‘Big’ platform for Tesco, this brief posed its own particular challenge – how do we display Tesco Finest food as a premium option, while still maintaining the sense of playfulness around scale that had been established in our new brand campaign?
It was important to the client that we didn’t become so playful with the food that food values were comprised. Both they and we wanted the food to look real, but we also wanted a magical twist so that this work would stand apart from competitors like Dunnes ‘Simply Better’. We had particular constraints to work within, for example we could only marry products visually that would actually be served together.
This particular execution featured Tesco Finest Cheeses, with a charming little log cabin made from crackers and pretzel sticks. And so we created a delicious food shot and magical Christmas scene all in one – a little taste of winter magic to show ‘We’re Big on the Finest Christmas.’
