Shane’s first taste of advertising was age 15 when he was cast as “teenager on phone” in a TV ad for a now defunct telecom company. Earning him £600 and a full year of bullying from his class mates, the ad was a resounding disaster – with the company going bust a couple of months later.
Fortunately Shane’s more recent experience with advertising has gone a little bit better. He is a Creative Director at Rothco where he’s spent the last few years writing copy for some of Ireland’s biggest brands. His work has been awarded and recognised by the Cannes Lions, EPICAs, the One Show, the Webbies, ADFX, and of course ICAD.
