“Do yourself a favour: get your diary and a big thick red marker and in the page for April 21st 2011, scrawl:
ICAD AWARDS, Royal Hospital Kilmainham (RHK). 5.30 pm!
I promise you it’s going to be a very special evening.

After the past few years we deserve this. A night when we can kick back with friends and colleagues within the splendid surroundings of the Great Hall and Chapel of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham… and the prospect of a long weekend to recover!

To conclude, I’d like to thank our sponsors, supporters and our members for making it a great year for ICAD.

See you at the Awards – may the Bells toll for thee!”

On the night:

The company of a legend…
The packed evening kicks off at 6.00 pm with a rare opportunity to hear and engage in a Q&A session with a true legend of our industry. I am delighted to announce that Dave Trott will be our special guest on the night. Dave is widely acknowledged as a genius of branding. He has exerted a huge influence on a generation of the most talented creatives and his body of work contains some of the world’s most enduring campaigns.

His seminal text ‘How To Get Your First Job In Advertising’, written over 30 years ago, is still the definitive reference for anyone trying to get into the business. His book ‘Creative Mischief’ is an Amazon best seller, while his highly addictive blog on http://www.cstadvertising.com/blog/ is consistently the most provocative, engaging and entertaining commentary on our business and creativity in general.

Let the games begin!
Following Dave’s talk at 7.00 pm there will be a drinks reception and then onto the fun and games of the awards ceremony in the Great Hall. Senator David Norris will be handing out the 2011 bells.

This year we have re-instated the Client Award and the Greenhorn Award. This is an important acknowledgment of the importance ICAD places on honouring clients who encourage creative excellence and in fostering and developing exciting new talent.

A holy show…
After the awards ceremony you will be invited into the Chapel for food, drinks and entertainment. This is an opportunity to congratulate the winners, commiserate with the losers and pray that you’ll do better next year.

Every year ICAD endeavour to keep our ticket prices as low as possible. This year we have introduced an Early Bird Special which will be available until April 7th, the same day that the nominations and exhibition list will be released. The ticket price represent fantastic value for money in contrast to comparable awards events.

Early bird prices (payment to be received by April 7th):
Member €60 each
Non-member €90 non-members
Standard ticket prices:
Member €80 each
Non-member €110 non-members
