ICAD is delighted to welcome Independent News and Media (INM) as Innovation Partner. INM recognise the value of creativity and are aligned with ICAD’s mission to encourage creative excellence and increase standards. Determined to turn the tide on the ‘perceived dearth of creativity in both digital and print advertising,’ Mitchell O’Gorman, Head of Advertising Innovation at INM explains, ‘this partnership with ICAD aims to stimulate a higher calibre of creative output in advertising and demonstrate to brands that investment in high quality production is as important as investment in the media itself’. Having introduced a new multimedia branded content product in 2016, INM have seen significant success in asking brands to invest more in creative formats and are now working with ICAD to encourage investment in creativity across the advertising industry – particularly for digital channels, which typically see less investment in concept and creativity. Mitchell continues ‘Increasing awareness of the creative potential of advertising channels is going to be a key element of our work this year. Just because nobody else isn’t doing it, doesn’t mean that it can’t be done.’
