What is the most unusual project you’ve ever worked on?

The anamorphic painting project with Detail Design was a pretty unusual sign painting gig. The Dublin Theatre Festival logo was projected onto a stage set and we had to paint all the objects, floor and sides where the projection hit. It was a real fun project to paint, made a nice change from painting regular walls.

Who is your creative hero?

Josh Luke from Best Dressed Signs in Boston. His work is amazing, seeing it got me really interested in sign painting. His lettering and painting skills are phenomenal, a big inspiration to me. It was so great to meet him at the Letterhead meet in Amsterdam this August, such a nice guy.

What would you do with a spare €100?

Honestly, I’d buy an alarm clock and a helmet for my new bike. Exciting stuff!

What piece of work do you wish you had created?

This question is rattling my brain, I’m really not sure. I guess in the future tense, I’d love to get to paint some signs for film, preferably something designed by Annie Atkins. That would be amazing.

What’s your soundtrack?

I’ve been listening to a lot of soul and disco playlists on Spotify lately, puts me in such a good mood! I’m pretty sure watching The Get Down on Netflix recently had an influence on this.
